Georgetown sits at the confluence of the Black, Great Pee Dee, Sampit and Waccamaw rivers as they empty into the Winyah Bay before the Atlantic Ocean. It is a nice town in a broadly nice area.
This fishing pier is the old bridge that carried US. 17 over the Great Pee Dee River. A good use of old infrastructure instead of tearing it down. There was also a place to discard old oyster shells. I found that interesting.
A boat landing on the Black River in the Brown's Ferry community. Lots of color here, huh?
